Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Supervising
Upgrade your red CPCS/NPORS card to a blue CPCS/NPORS card with our Crane Supervisor Level 4 NVQ.
During the NVQ
The NVQ is completed using our easy online portfolio system and you will need to complete the steps below.
Lift Supervisor – Level 4 NVQ Diploma in controlling lifting operations
The Lift Supervisor Level 4 NVQ is accessible to those that undertake the duties of a Lift Supervisor / Crane supervisor.
They will work as part of a team to ensure the lifting operations comply with the law and secure the health and safety of employees and of all those affected by the operations.
In order to enrol onto this NVQ learners must have already completed one of the below training courses and be in possession of the red CPCS or NPORS card:
- CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor / Lift Supervisor course
- NPORS N405 Crane / Lift Supervisor course
To complete this NVQ you must provide copies of documentation from your work site.
Examples of workplace evidence which you can provide are:
- Toolbox talks
- RAMS
- Drawings
- Briefings
- Checklists
- Equipment Certificates
A set of knowledge questions – you can write these or have a discussion with your assessor:
- Ask your manager to complete a witness testimony. We will provide you with the document.
- Gather copies of lift plan, toolbox talks, RAMS, briefings, inductions & other site documents.
- Take photos & Videos of you carrying out the work on your site.
Your assessor may need to visit your site or conduct a video call with you.
- Complete an induction with your assessor.
- Gather workplace evidence.
- Gain a witness testimony from a competent person.
- Complete your knowledge questions.
- Complete a professional discussion with your assessor.
