Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction)

Plant Operations NVQ is a competency-based qualification used to show your competence in a specific type of plant machinery. Various Level 2 qualifications are available, all designed to show that you are skilled enough to conduct your work safely.

In addition, the qualification will give you the knowledge to gain your CPCS or NPORS card and reduce accidents on-site through a proper understanding of your role.

After completion of the course the candidate will: 

  • Be nationally recognised accredited qualification
  • Be able to gain a Blue CPCS/NPORS Card
  • You can complete it in your own time
  • Help you to gain employment
  • Work to the industry standard
  • CITB Skills and Training Fund and Grant Claimable
  • Lifetime qualification

Once the enrolment process is complete.

TSI Training Ltd will pair you with an assessor.

The assessor will conduct the initial induction.

They will work with you to develop your portfolio and map out how you can complete each unit.

Throughout the NVQ.

The assessor will continuously review your progress to ensure that you are on track to completion.

The assessor will monitor the learner through various ways, such as written questions, professional discussions, evidence generated from the workplace, observations and witness testimonials. The qualification course structure incorporates a selection of mandatory units.

No matter what machine you are operating, the Plant Operations NVQ has the same set of mandatory units. You must show evidence of the below for any pathway that you chose:

  • Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the WorkplaceConforming to
  • Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace

You will need to complete all the required units of the NVQ by providing sufficient evidence for each one. Once this has been completed, the assessor will review your portfolio and follow up with any required feedback.

Once you have acknowledged the feedback, the IQA will receive the portfolio. The IQA will decide whether the qualification is complete or if any additional evidence is needed.
