Excavator 180 above and below 5 ton

The candidate can carry out training on the machine or training + test which can be carried out on site or at our purpose-built training Centre.

After completion of the course the candidate will:

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as an operator.
  • Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used.
  • Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions and
  • Be able to locate and identify steering, driving and braking controls and explain their functions.
  • Be Able to identify and maintain PPE appropriate for use.
  • Be Able to conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturers and legislative requirements.
  • Be Able to Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for 180 uses.
  • Be Able to prepare the excavator 180 for use.
  • Be Able to conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area.
  • Be Able to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Be Able to have an understanding of environmental considerations.
  • Be Able to prepare the 180 for storage and transport of Excavator 180 attachments.
  • Be Able to explain loading/unloading procedures for machine transportation.
  • Be Able to carry out all end of work and shut down procedures.
