The candidate can carry out a training on the machine or training + test which can be carried out on site or at our purpose-built training Centre.
After completion of the course the candidate will:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacture’s handbook for the particular machine to be used
- Be able to locate and identify key controls and explain their functions
- Be able to conduct all pre-operational checks
- Be able to identify and maintain PPE appropriate for the skid steer loader use
- Be able to conduct all necessary checks to the working area
- Be able to prepare the skid steer for use, operate machinery safely
- Have an understanding of environment considerations
- Have an understanding on the safe storage and transport of the skid steer
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transportation
- Be able to carry out the end of shift shut down procedures
