Agricultural Tractor
The candidate can carry out training on the machine or training + test which can be carried out on site or at our purpose-built training Centre.
After completion of the course the candidate will:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as an operator.
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used.
- Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions and be able to locate and identify steering, driving and braking controls and explain their functions. Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for Agricultural Tractor use.
- Be able to conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area.
- Be able to prepare the Agricultural Tractor for use and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Be able to attach and set trailed, mounted and power take off drives ready for work.
- Be able to take into account environmental considerations.
- Storage and transport of attachments.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transport.
- Be able to carry out all end of work and shut down procedures.
