A98 Excavator Lifting Operations – Theory Training
The candidate can carry out training on the machine or training + test which can be carried out on site or at our purpose-built training Centre.
After completion of the course the candidate will:
- Have an introduction to the item of plant, the relevant controls and required PPE, along with safe mounting/dismounting practices
- Be able to undertake all pre-start and running checks and explaining the major components of the machine, their features, benefits and associated risks
- General responsibilities of the operator, referring to the manufacture’s handbook for the specific item of plant being used
- Have knowledge of operating procedures in line with industry best practice and awarding body guidelines
- Be able to carry out safe parking and shut down procedures
